About ten 9 design

TEN 9 Design is a nimble and advanced design firm for all levels of architectural design needs. I have  25+ years of experience in residential and commercial architecture, established jurisdictional relationships, and a firm understanding of each phase of a project for its successful execution.  

Sasha and I first worked together as neighbors in Coffey Park after the 2017 Tubbs fire on the daunting task of organizing and re-building our neighborhood.  With TEN 9 Design we had the opportunity to collaborate again in support of our local community of clients, designers, and builders.  

Continuing on as a solo practice I'm dedicated to maintaining those values. TEN 9 Design is structured so clients and consultants can work with experienced professionals that will collaborate and solve any design challenge regardless of size.   

We accomplished this by approaching each project with lots of questions, and intent listening to clients about their project goals.  From the very first meeting, we offer forward thinking design ideas for sustainability and long-term access, realistically accomplishing a project within budget to its overall goals by upfront honesty, knowing that the approach is not one size fits all.  TEN 9 Design’s mission is to develop a collaborative relationship with each client and the professional disciplines required along the way and allow a project to flow with open communication and transparency.  

 I am a California licensed architect with a diverse professional background in construction, art, and design.  Modern architectural practice is the most exciting career chapter yet and where I’ve found my home.  For over 20 years I’ve had the opportunity to support and work alongside countless interesting and accomplished architectural professionals.  TEN 9 Design is an opportunity to mix the best parts of that experience into something valuable for our local community of clients, designers, and builders.  Outside of TEN 9 Design I restore old machinery, paint, garden, and motorcycle about.
